- ›Payment information — billing details processed securely through Stripe (we do not store card numbers)
- ›Communication preferences — newsletter subscription status, email frequency preferences
- ›Profile data — academic email address (if provided for student discount), subscription tier
- ›Support communications — messages you send to our support team
We also collect certain information automatically when you use our Services, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and referring URLs. This data is used for security, analytics, and service improvement only.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve our Services. Specifically, we use your information to:

- ›Deliver the daily GenHedge newsletter and other communications you have subscribed to

Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors
We share your personal information only with trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf and are bound by contractual data protection obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- ›Supabase — authentication, database storage, and user account management (servers in the United States)
- ›Stripe — payment processing and subscription management (PCI-DSS compliant)
- ›Beehiiv — newsletter delivery, subscriber management, and email analytics
- ›Vercel — website hosting, server-side rendering, and edge network delivery
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GenHedge, our users, or others.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records retained for 7 years per IRS requirements).
Newsletter subscription records are retained until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, your email address is retained on a suppression list to ensure you are not re-added inadvertently.
Children's Privacy
GenHedge is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

Security
